In Memory

Sara Satterthwaite           When I moved to Washington and into the William Penn House one of the first people that I met was Sara Satterthwaite. My life has been graced by this wonderful lady and her joyous and infectious zeal. Sara brought grace, dignity, humor, caring and a totally selfless approach to all of her friends. She made each of us feel that we were exceptional, that we were as special as she.  Sara lived her life fully and with tenacity but never feared death. She was just not ready. Not only did she teach us how to die, she taught us how to live.
