Group Reservations

To help groups plan ahead, we will reserve space for your group as soon as you  are ready to commit to staying at William Penn House. Individuals or groups of less than 4 can only book as early as eight weeks in advance of arrival.

William Penn House is able to accommodate groups of up to 30 persons. If your group would like to stay here, please contact us when you have definite dates and know how many beds you will need. If we have space, we will send you a contract to return to us within thirty days along with a 30% non-refundable deposit.

Group rates range from from $32 to $40 per person per night depending on the size of the group. The cost to rent the whole House (not including the kitchen) is $900.

We do have a special family rate of $125 per family per night for a family of 4 and $25 for each additional family member, but the family rate is only available when booking within eight weeks in advance of your stay.

We would certainly love to have you stay with us, and in addition to lodging, programming is also available particularly for youth and student groups  through our sister organization, Washington Quaker Workcamps. For more information on programming options, click HERE, or feel free to contact Greg Woods (greg@williampennhouse.org) or Brad Ogilvie (brad@williampennhouse.org) with any other questions you may have.

Booking Reservations:

When booking for a large group, we prefer that you first contact us by phone at (202) 543-5560, any day of the week between 9 AM and 9 PM. Please be prepared with the following information:

  • Which nights will you stay and what day do you plan to leave?
  • How many are in your group? How many males and how many females?
  • What is your full name, address, and phone number? If you are with an organization, please give its name.
  • What is your credit card number and its expiration date? (This is required to hold the reservation.)
  • Are you a Quaker and what brings you to Washington? (You do not have to be Quaker to stay here.)
  • What time of day do you expect to arrive? (Our office closes at 9 PM and we generally do not accept guests after midnight. Late check-ins must call ahead of time to alert staff.)

If you have any questions or simply wish to check availabilities, you may also send us an email at info@williampennhouse.org.
